Mercy Medical Center is one of the few hospitals in the nation with a Magnet designation. The campus includes a state-of-the-art, 300-bed patient tower. Two volunteers are needed to serve as either a nurse working in a unit that matches the volunteer’s skills and interests or or as a healthcare advocate and care coordinator, creating, implementing, and promoting programs that aim to reduce healthcare costs and improve outcomes for socioeconomically disadvantaged patients.
