Before you apply to serve with MVC check the qualifications in the first column below. If you meet the qualifications please check column two to find out more about what you will need for the application process. These materials (reference and medical forms) will be available on the application. Once you submit your application, column three explains the application process. 

  • At least 21 Years of Age
  • High School Graduate
  • Single or Married with no dependents
  • Currently residing in the USA
  • Application Form with written responses
  • Resume and Transcripts (unofficial are accepted)
  • Three References
  • Medical Forms
  • Application review by MVC staff
  • In-person or video interview
  • Notification of acceptance
  • Service site placement

Mercy Volunteers serve in eleven cities across the USA and South America. Volunteers are needed in the fields of education, healthcare, and social services. To learn more about the cities where Mercy Volunteers serve click here

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF SERVING WITH MERCY VOLUNTEER CORPS?

Live in a house or apartment in a community with three to six other Mercy Volunteers.

Flights to and from your service city to begin and end your service year. Transportation throughout your year.

Eligibility for student loan deferment during and educational discounts after your volunteer year.

Monthly stipends for both personal and communal use. Communal stipends cover the cost of groceries.
