Application Deadlines
Mercy Volunteer Corps accepts applications on a rolling basis. Submit your application early for priority in selecting your service site and city!
The priority for all placements is January 26. The final deadline for international and short-term summer placement is March 26. The preferred deadline for U.S. placement is March 26. The final deadline for U.S. placement is June 26.
Start Dates
U.S. & International Placements: The one-year, full-time commitment begins mid-August 2026 (volunteers serving internationally in Guyana also attend cross-cultural training held online in late July).
Short-Term Summer Placements: Volunteers placed at Mercy Ecospirituality Center and ARISE Adelante will serve from June 3 – July 18, 2026.

- Volunteers are strongly encouraged to talk to their loan providers about which relief option is the best fit for them. Some private loan lenders offer deferment and forbearance. These options, as well as the penalties associated with each option, would be outlined in the terms and benefits of the loan contract.
