Application Deadlines

Mercy Volunteer Corps accepts applications on a rolling basis, with priority given to applications received by January 22.

The final deadline for international and short-term summer placement is March 22. The preferred deadline for U.S. placement is March 22. The final deadline for U.S. placement is June 22. Submit your application early for priority in selecting your service site and city!

Start Dates

U.S. Placements: The one-year, full-time commitment begins August 6, 2024.

International Placements: Volunteers serving in Guyana also attend cross-cultural training held online in late July.

Short-Term Summer Placements: Volunteers serving at Mercy Ecospirituality Center and Adelante ARISE will begin late May/early June, 2024.

Segal AmeriCorps Education Award

MVC is excited to announce an additional benefit that will be offered for the upcoming 2024-2025 volunteer year! Those serving in one of our US locations will be eligible for the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award. The award can be used to repay qualifying student loans, such as subsidized and unsubsidized loans backed by the federal government, or for future educational expenses at eligible schools. Currently the amount of the award is $6895 for 1700 hours of service. Volunteers will also be eligible for loan forbearance during their year with MVC.
