Application Deadlines

Mercy Volunteer Corps accepts applications on a rolling basis. Submit your application early for priority in selecting your service site and city!

The priority for all placements is January 24. The final deadline for international and short-term summer placement is March 24. The preferred deadline for U.S. placement is March 24. The final deadline for U.S. placement is June 24.

Start Dates

U.S. Placements: The one-year, full-time commitment begins August 12, 2025

International Placements: Volunteers serving in Guyana also attend cross-cultural training held online in late July.

Short-Term Summer Placements: Volunteers serving at Mercy Ecospirituality Center will begin May 28, 2025. Volunteers serving at ARISE Adelante will begin June 4, 2025.

Segal AmeriCorps Education Award

Those serving in one of our U.S. locations will likely be eligible for the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award. The award can be used to repay qualifying student loans, such as subsidized and unsubsidized loans backed by the federal government, or for future educational expenses at eligible schools. Currently the amount of the award is $7395 for 1700 hours of service. Volunteers will also be eligible for loan forbearance during their year with MVC.
