One of my favorite things about Detroit is the downtown area. On the drive towards downtown, you get to enjoy the amazing skyline, and once you arrive, the immense buildings and beautiful architecture will captivate anyone who lays eyes on it all. 

One afternoon after work, I had to go pick up a purchase from the Verizon downtown, and just before I left, I found myself in a breathtaking spot. I was surrounded by stunningly tall buildings, and above it all was the partly cloudy sky with the sun peeking through the clouds. I just had to stop and snap a picture, and ever since that day, I refer to that location as my favorite spot in the city.
