My name is Israel Scott and I am the Mercy Volunteer at St. Frances Cabrini Clinic. Detroit, MI is a city filled with history, culture, and art; but it is also the poorest big city in the country. With nearly 30% of homes vacated due to unpaid taxes or mortgage issues, many of the residents of Detroit simply cannot afford the basic necessities. With my four years of pre-medical experience, Cabrini has given me the opportunity to utilize the knowledge and skills I have learned to help those who need it most. Cabrini is a 100% free clinic providing healthcare to those who are uninsured and underinsured. While I work here, I will help Cabrini bring good quality healthcare to as many patients as possible.
